and curves as she hosts a a special performance by the pop

back in the spotlight."
Jessica, 26 - who is currently dating US musician John Mayer
- famously showed off her boobs and butt when she donned
microscopic hot-pants and a tied-off shirt to play Daisy
Duke in the movie version of hit 70s TV show The Dukes of
Hazzard.
She also got her fans in a lather when she stripped down to
a tiny bikini and seductively soaped a car in the music
video for her single These Boots Are Made For Walkin' -
which featured on the film's soundtrack.
Wild Things actress Denise Richards hosted a similar
Pussycat Dolls event last year.
JESSICA SIMPSON MAKING LOTS OF NOISE AT AN ITALIAN HOTEL
April 2, 2007 --
Jessica Simpson stunned guests at a Rome hotel by romping
noisily with her lover John Mayer, it has been claimed.
The 'Employee of the Month' actress was seen having dinner
with the American musician in the romantic Italian city
before heading back to the exclusive luxury Hotel de Russie.
When they got back to their room the couple's energetic
bedroom antics could reportedly be heard through the walls.
A source revealed to More magazine: "Jessica and John got
back fairly early and stayed in all night. But by the sounds
of it, they didn't get to sleep for a long time.
"This woman was saying she couldn't believe Jessica sounded
like she was getting it on so loudly in the room next door."
Jessica, 26 - who split from husband Nick Lachey in November
2005 - stared dating John last year.
The 29-year-old musician confirmed rumours he was having a
relationship with Jessica when they attended her New Year's
Eve party together.
JESSICA SIMPSON ASKED TO LEAVE SUPERMARKET
January 15, 2007 --
Jessica Simpson was asked to leave her local market by the
store's manager after she caused a media frenzy that was
proved to be bad for business. The singer was attempting to
shop for groceries when a storm of photographers descended
on the store trying to get a shot of Simpson shopping. She
explains, "Two weeks ago, I was at Whole Foods and probably
about 100 photographers were outside waiting for me. "The
manager gave me his card and said, 'Jessica, I'd appreciate
it if you wouldn't come in during store hours. "Give me a
call and I'll open up early or you can come in after we
close. But this is very distracting for all my customers.'
"I looked at him kind of shocked. Then I was just mad, not
at him, but at the situation. I couldn't even live my normal
life anymore."
JESSICA SIMPSON AND NICK LACHEY ARE OFFICIALLY DIVORCED
July 3, 2006 --
Famous "Newlyweds" Jessica Simpson and Nick Lachey are
officially single again.
Papers filed Friday in Superior Court in Los Angeles show
the pop stars "are restored to the status of single,
unmarried persons."
The 32 year-old Lachey and 25 year-old Simpson starred in
the MTV reality show, "Newlyweds: Nick & Jessica." The
singer-actress filed for divorce in December after three
years of marriage.
Simpson starred as Daisy Duke in 2005's "The Dukes of
Hazzard." In May, Lachey released his second solo CD,
"What's Left of Me," in which he sings about the pain of the
pair's breakup.
JESSICA SIMPSON AND NICK LACHEY SELL NEWLYWEDS HOME
January 9, 2006 --
Former golden couple NICK LACHEY and JESSICA SIMPSON are
selling the home made famous in their reality TV show
NEWLYWEDS: NICK AND JESSICA.
The pop stars split in November (05) after three years of
marriage and Simpson has since filed for divorce.
US magazine People reports the couple have placed their
Calabasas, California, Mediterranean-style home on sale for
$3.75 million through Sotheby's International.
Lachey is still living in the home, while Simpson has
recently moved into a $3 million home in Beverly Hills.
JESSICA SIMPSON AND NICK LACHEY OFFICIALLY SPLITS
November 23, 2005 --
After more than a year of break-up rumors, "Newlyweds"
JESSICA SIMPSON and NICK LACHEY have officially decided to
call it quits, ET has confirmed.
"After three years of marriage, and careful thought and
consideration, we have decided to part ways," the couple
said in a statement Wednesday. "This is the mutual decision
of two people with an enormous amount of respect and
admiration for each other. We hope that you respect our
privacy during this difficult time."
Back in October, rumors of a split started to swirl when
Jessica arrived solo (and without her wedding ring) to her
sister ASHLEE's 21st birthday in Las Vegas and Nick, who was
scheduled to be there, was a no-show. Nick and Jessica were
also reportedly apart for two more special dates: their 3rd
wedding anniversary on October 26 and Nick's 32nd birthday
on November 9.
It was just this fall, while talking about her new body care
collection "Sweet Kisses," Jessica spoke with ET, offering
marriage advice. "I think you have to always remember, and
he has to remember, that you do need a compromise, even
though it's hard," she said.
She admitted though, that sometimes strong personalities can
get in the way of marital negotiations. "There's people with
pride involved," she says. "You have to back down sometime
-- just a little bit."
The couple married in Austin, TX, in front of 350 guests in
an hour-long Baptist ceremony. Jessica wore a strapless VERA
WANG gown and Nick sang "My Everything," a song he wrote
just for his bride.
JESSICA AND NICK'S ITALY TRIP TO SAVE THE MARRIAGE
October 22, 2005 --
JESSICA SIMPSON and NICK LACHEY's recent trip to Italy was a
last-ditch attempt to save their marriage, according to
music manager LOU PEARLMAN.
After denying a barrage of reports that their marriage is on
the rocks, the pop couple left their Los Angeles home for a
romantic trip to Italy earlier this month (OCT05).
And, while the pair maintain their relationship is still
strong, Pearlman, who represents Lachey's friend and former
98 DEGREES bandmate JEFF TIMMONS, claims he's heard the
couple are struggling.
He tells America's Star magazine, "Timmons says Nick told
him, 'My marriage is shaky right now. I'm hoping this trip
will turn things around.
"'This trip could be a second honeymoon - or preparation for
a divorce. I don't know what's going to happen, and Jessica
doesn't know what's going to happen, but we're going to give
it our best shot.'"
Representatives for the couple deny the claims.
Simpson and Lachey's third-year wedding anniversary is on
Wednesday (26OCT05).
MORE TROUBLE FOR NICK AND JESSICA
October 10, 2005--
There's another new problem plaguing
the beleaguered marriage of Jessica Simpson and Nick Lachey.
Only days after the couple vehemently denied the latest
published report they were heading for divorce court (Us
Weekly's "Split!" cover story), now Lachey's people are
denying a story in the new Star magazine -- quoting an Ohio
co-ed's claims that Lachey tried to seduce her Sept. 9.
According to Danielle Calo, 19, the singer and TV reality
star started flirting with her at a high school football
game in Columbus, Ohio -- before inviting her back to his
hotel room. Calo went and says Lachey was "a really good
kisser" and told her that she was "really hot," but she
insists she did not have sex with him because "he's very
married" -- a statement that isn't likely to reassure
Simpson much.
In the face of Lachey's claim that the Calo
story is totally false, Star is challenging him to take a
polygraph test, which the magazine says Calo has taken --
and passed. No comment from Lachey's camp on that one.
Nick and Jessica may have called it quits!
October 5, 2005 -- They've
teased us and teased us, and now it seems that Nick Lachey
and Jessica Simpson have decided to put us out of our
misery. The pop music couple whose marital discord was
documented on MTV's "Newlyweds" is reportedly splitting.
Celebrity gossip magazine US Weekly's cover story lays the
blame on Simpson's doorstep, with a headline declaring,
"Details on Jessica & Nick's last days -- and how her ego,
partying and dad drove them apart."
Followers of the bickering couple may recall that earlier in
the year, an online story about the chanteuse filing for
divorce was leaked and immediately pulled. Rumor has it that
although the story was genuine, Simpson wanted to wait a few
months to officially file in order to discredit the website.
Nick and Jessica's obvious incompatibility has sparked
rumors of a split on and off ever since their MTV show
aired. If a production assistant at the 2004 Rockefeller
Center Tree Lighting ceremony is to be believed, Simpson
alternately ignored and yelled at Lachey, who didn't bother
to conceal his own bitterness. In an email circulating the
Internet, the PA says that when the former 98 Degrees singer
was asked for comments that could be used for Simpson's
introduction, he replied, "Not too many nice things to say
about her ... How about she was the best stocking I ever
stuffed? She was the best chimney I've ever come down on."
The words were allegedly said angrily, without any
indication of humor.
Other
rough spots along the way include rumors of Simpson's
coziness with "Dukes of Hazzard" co-star Johnny Knoxville
and her father Joe Simpson's creepy interest in her career
and bosom. Simpson, 25, appeared with her husband on
"Newlyweds" and on variety and USO specials on ABC. She made
her silver screen debut as Daisy Dukes in this summer's
"Dukes of Hazzard."
Lachey, 31, has been making a name for himself separate from
the blonde diva. He's currently contributing to ESPN's
"College GameDay" and recently signed a talent deal with The
WB, the network that gave him a recurring part on "Charmed"
last season. He's also made guest appearances on "Hope &
Faith" and "I'm with Her" and co-starred in the ABC pilot
"Hot Mom" in 2004.
