Need to open turn signal and clean hazy, yellow on the inside?

I have heard that using a heat gun to soften the glue that seals your turn signal the best way to get to the inside of the turn signal to clean it?

Do you think this will work?
What about melting/ warping the plastic light itself?
What should I clean the yellow stuff on the inside of the light with?

I pullet all the bulbs and as much of the wires i could and put my headlights in the oven on top of a towel on a cooking sheet. 200 degrees for about 20 minutes and they came apart pretty easily. It is a Subaru but I can’t imagine other lights are any different. once it’s open use some car polish or a cleaner wax and wipe clean. Should work. When you’re done put the light back in the oven to soften the silicone so you get a good seal and no moisture gets in. Good luck.
